Enchanted
(PG)
Synopsis: The tale
follows the beautiful princess Giselle (Amy Adams) as she is banished by
an evil queen (Susan Sarandon) from her magical, musical animated land--and
finds herself in the gritty reality of the streets of modern-day Manhattan.
Shocked by this strange new environment that doesn't operate on a "happily
ever after" basis, Giselle is now adrift in a chaotic world badly in need
of enchantment. But when Giselle begins to fall in love with a charmingly
flawed divorce lawyer (Patrick Dempsey) who has come to her aid--even though
she is already promised to a perfect fairy tale prince (James Marsden)
back home--she has to wonder: can a storybook view of romance survive in
the real world?
Robert's Review
"Enchanted" is a
thoroughly entertaining and fun-filled movie. Children and adults will
both love it because it has something for everyone… great jokes to keep
it light-hearted and fresh, some great song and dance numbers to keep everyone
smiling, and characters that are wacky and fun. I really enjoyed the great
acting performances – especially Amy Adams' performance, she was awesome!
The pacing is really well done and there aren't really any slow parts.
Overall, this could be the newest Disney super hit that they've all been
waiting for. I'd highly recommend it to everyone and would happily see
it again. I have been enchanted!
All in all, I'd give
this movie 4 Princesses (out of 5). Re-watch value: HIGH
