This is a follow up to their 2004 debut Lessons Learned (review is here). Speaker to Speaker unquestionably delivers a bolder, sometimes darker sound than their debut album. Bullmoose is highly inspired by the blues and some of the biggest rock guitarists who have ever graced a stage today or yesterday.

Speaker to Speaker is all original material written by Bullmoose and produced by Jonathan Timble Cummins for you to explore.

The standout selections include "Sweet Little Tease" which opens the ride with a good old guitar pickin' blues-rock feel. That smashing entrance accompanied by stellar vocals and even a bit of french horn is enough to get any party on the dance floor.

"Hard To Find" is the 3rd track on Speaker to Speaker. Packed with great vocals, guitars and overall a whole lotta fun. You just know the boys had fun recording it as they do performing it live.

It's so hard to find someone to love  - isn't that the truth.

Track 7 is the guitar-driven "Grey Mountain" with the hint of a Fender Rhodes in the background. This song delivers a one-two punch reminiscent of a young Eric Clapton tearing up the strings and raspy vocals.

The cd closes with "Shameful" and an outstanding guitar solo intro. Rich bass playing from Seamus accompanied by a cello and viola really offers a full sound to this selection.

I love movies with great musical scores and for me this song would be a perfect fit in a badass, shoot 'em up western.

What I enjoyed most about Speaker to Speaker as in their live performances is their sound as a trio; big and full bodied. Their depth is what one would expect from a four or five piece band.

Bullmoose aligned themselves with amazing talent contributing vocals and playing a variety of additional instruments during the recording process. This cd rocks with it's inebriating production value; a musical accomplishment in which Eric, Seamus and Jeff should be proud of. Speaker to Speaker is highly recommended.
