I ASK ANYTHING OF YOU IN MY ENTIRE LIFE... AS A GUNS N' ROSES FAN PLEASE
DO NOT SUBJECT YOURSELF TO THIS ALBUM!!!!!I know all of the words to these
songs and I couldn't tell what ninety five percent of the bands on this
album were saying. I knew what they were supposed to be saying but ..it
just wasn't right. If this is a tribute album ....I'd hate to see what
a record would sound like if these bands didn't like the band they were
covering. The concept ...a bunch of metal/punk/screamo/hardcore bands covering
GNR might look half decent on paper ....if some of the bands were half
f**kin decent. But noooooo... doing GNR some f**kin justice ...that would
be asking too much.... and it's not like this is the first ....remember
Appetite For Reconstruction anyone? A techno metal tribute to GNR by a
bunch of b-list rockers.Yeah good job you f**kin dirty twits.
But
like I said very few lyrics can actually be deciphered on this album ...whether
you know them or not. The only band that even comes close to capturing
the feeling of the original GNR is Eighteen Visions with their heavied
up "Paradise City" and even then ....when it comes time to rip up Slash's
classic guitar solos ....they fail miserably.Most of these songs don't
even sound anything like the originals that they are apparently trying
to emulate. For instance ...if you ever have the misfortune of hearing
Time In The Malta's version of "November Rain" you'll know what I'm talking
about. Not the same chords ...not even the same key. WTF. Do you really
have to go that far to butcher of a classic.
Honestly
I should hunt down pretty much every one of these bands and kick their
f**kin asses. Or atleast get a chainsaw out and go leatherface style on
their asses. Everyone of these guys deserves a f**kin DDT. Even if the
lads from GNR reunite to kick these bands asses ...I'd be happy. Just please
reunite for something. If they got together to fart on a record I'd probably
buy it.
So
Axl... I beg you... for myself... and the millions and millions waiting
at home... please ...PLEASE release something soon ...or beat the hell
out of these f**kin assholes ....at very least.
