OMG
the show in Kelowna last night was SOOOOOOO AMAZING!!!!!!
Firstly
I must say, I've never driven 5 hours to another city to see a concert
for which I did not even have tickets!!! AND... it's the first concert
I've ever been to at which it's IMPOSSIBLE to find any tickets... from
scalpers! In Vancouver, there were many times I just showed up and bought
tickets off the street... but Kelowna is very different! hahahaa....
Soooooo...
there we were.... standing around... waiting for anyone to change their
mind and not want to see the show. After all, there was a big sign up at
the doors stating that "Tommy Lee will not be performing with the band,
but he WILL be a part of the show."
So...
after an hour or so of standing around by the box office in front of the
venue, a mother and her son returned their tickets for a refund! No one
else was hanging around by this point- they all had given up. I walked
up, bought 2 tickets and FINALLY!!!! We could join the entrance line-up!!!!
....the concert had started 25 minutes ago.... and there was STILL a huge
security line-up. I've never had to wait THAT LONG to get into a concert
before. It was INSANE. ....the crowd was extremely rowdy.... i've never
seen soooo many wasted people in one place in my life!!
We
basically got in in time to catch most of the good songs... althought we
missed 'Shout', 'Don't Go Away Mad' and 'Too Young To Fall In Love'. ....We
did, however, catch 'Girls', 'Dr. Feelgood', 'Primal Scream', 'Wild Side',
'Home Sweet Home', 'Kickstart My Heart'... and a couple others i just can't
think of right now.
It
was a great show.. and Tommy WAS indeed a big part of it. He basically
was the MC for the evening, and he performed a drum solo on the stage,
then ran into the audience and was suspended from the ceiling above the
audience, when he flew up onto these 2 platforms which were hanging from
the ceiling... and played a couple of rad solos up there!!
The
fill-in drummer was pretty damn good, I must say! Even for the big Tommy
fans... it was DEFINITELY still a show worth seeing! It was RAD! The guys
still look great, the pyro was incredible... and there were tons of beautiful
women dancing on stage and performing stunts. A dwarf streaked across the
stage, and Tommy had his tittie-cam... so lots of boobs for all the dudes!!!!!
Sorry
for all of you who haven't seen Motley in concert.. but if you ever get
the chance, GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and RAWK ON!
XOOXOXOOO!!!
